This is the first page of your Web site that visitors will see. On this page, explain your site’s purpose, content, and layout. Include tips on how to move through your site and where to find key information.

Change the picture to one of your own, such as a picture of your school or maybe Parliament House.

Remember that there are lots of different people with lots of different computers accessing this information on the Internet. Make sure that all text is easily readable by using a simple and large font style.

Also remember that this Web site is a collaborative project (the whole class is working together) so you must ensure that all pages have a similar ’look and feel’ about them. This means deciding what font (type-style) you will use, where your headings and school logo will be and what colours you will use.

Each of the pages will be created by one “Computer Group” and when they are all completed, we will create the ‘Hypertext Mark-up Language’ (HTML) pages and publish the site to the Internet together.
